Blue Ridge Parkway

The Blue Ridge Parkway stretches 469 miles from North Carolina to Virginia and runs along the spine of the Blue Ridge which is a part of the Appalachian Mountains. The parkway is a scenic drive of breath-taking views no matter what season you travel on its winding roads. You will encounter birds, a variety of wildlife, cascading trees and plants along with the views of long-range vistas, pastures, rocky mountain sides, and winding creeks. It’s a slow paced and relaxing drive with stopping places along the way for hiking, bicycling, picnicking, and camping.
